Phil began his career with the Chamber of Commerce in 1997, as the Assistant Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). While at the SBDC Phil consulted with small and medium size businesses in finance, marketing, processes and other functional issues.  

After leaving the SBDC in 1998, Phil joined Momentum Inc., a management and IT consulting company, as Director of Marketing and Technical Support. After 13 months on the Momentum team, Phil became a partner and was promoted to Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors as Corporate Secretary/Treasurer. Phil and his partners built Momentum Inc. to a successful business and sold it to their employees in 2003.

In 2004, Phil took a position with the City of Kokomo as Controller and President of the Board of Public Works. He also served as the role of Deputy Mayor and managed several departments in city government. During his tenure as Controller, Phil and his team resolved "one of the worst fiscal crisis in the states’ history" as described by members of a well know government accounting firm. Phil also put together a financial plan for the City that put it on the path to financial stability, introduced systems and processes to improve efficiencies, and helped the City save millions of dollars over a four year period.

After leaving the City in late 2007, Phil joined the "cfd" family of companies serving as Marketing and Business Development Director. In addition to his daily duties at "cfd", Phil has also been able to follow his passion of helping people by taking on clients as a financial adviser. Phil is truly committed to helping his clients meet their needs and goals.

Phil was born and raised in Howard and Cass Counties. He has been married for 10 years to his lovely wife Melissa. Together they have two daughters ages 8 and 5 and a two-year old son. Melissa and Phil are expecting their fourth child in September. Phil has a BS in Marketing Management from Indiana University (Kokomo campus) and is currently working toward his MBA with a concentration in finance.
